Compatibility guide

Combining hardware from different brands can give you more choice, but compatibility depends on the exact products. Work through these checks before you order.

1. Platform and game support

Check that the wheelbase and steering wheel combination supports your exact PC or console platform. PC support does not automatically mean PlayStation or Xbox support. Confirm supported games, drivers and firmware where relevant.

2. Wheelbase, wheel and quick release

Check both the mechanical connection and the electronic connection. A matching bolt pattern or quick release does not by itself guarantee that buttons, paddles, displays or other wheel functions will work. Review the manufacturer's requirements for the exact wheel and base.

Browse wheelbases, steering wheels and quick releases and adapters.

3. Pedals, shifters and handbrakes

Confirm whether each component connects directly by USB or through a compatible wheelbase. Console setups may depend on the wheelbase ecosystem. Check cable types, connection ports and any required adapters.

4. Cockpit, seat and mounting

Compare mounting dimensions and bolt patterns with your cockpit. Check whether the product requires a bottom, side or front mount, and whether the correct bracket is included. For seats, check side or bottom mounting, bracket requirements, sliders and clearance. Review the stated hardware limits and installation instructions.

5. Displays, motion and other extras

For monitors and stands, check VESA pattern, supported dimensions, load limits and clearance. For feedback hardware, check software support, power requirements and attachment points. Follow the manufacturer's installation and safety instructions.
